VFR750… 2 steps forward, one step back.
Time to put the front end back together after bead blasting and painting everything- stays, forks, brackets, handlebars, wiring, etc. Most of it can’t be seen when the bike is all assembled and the fairings are on but OCD takes over and makes you do things a normal person wouldn’t- like removing the front engine mount bolt so you can replace it with a new one. Bad call. It was totally corroded (steel bolt in aluminum frame) so it snapped off right at the threads about an inch in the frame. Lots of bad words… After about 2 hours of drilling and tapping, we are ready for the new bolt. Sometimes, I should just leave stuff alone.
