As you can see from the email ad I received from Victory, they are trying to get rid of old inventory- as in 2008-09 models that are dragging down their dealers. The problem with having lots of old inventory is that unless the manufacturer discounts it heavily in the form of rebates, etc, the dealers have no way to sell it. After all, if you have a choice between an 09 and an 2010 for essentially the same price, which would you take? When you add in the depreciation effect on a 2 year old bike, you can find yourself almost permanently upside down if you finance it.
So my advice is to look carefully at the deal- an 08 or 09 is just another used bike as soon as you ride it out of the showroom. Look at Cycle Trader, KBB and NADA and make sure you are not paying too much. The motorcycle market is crazy right now, so do your research.
