WebBikeWorld has an article on a portable tire changer that can mount to the trailer hitch on a truck. It is a little pricey, but if you have a bunch of friends that ride, it might be possible to split the cost. The benefits are many, including the ability to change a tire whenever you need to- not just when the bike shop is open and the ability to not scratch your rims, which most shops seem to always do.
