If you are into the vintage motorcycle scene, 2 of the auctions you really want to go to are the ones at Daytona and Mid-Ohio. The AMA site has the results of this weekend’s auction on their site with the most interesting sale probably being this 1962 MV Agusta GP replica. From the AMA site–
Markley jumped into the bidding late on a 1962 MV Agusta 250cc machine that had been converted by an Italian craftsman into a gorgeous replica of one of the company’s legendary grand-prix racers. He sat on the sidelines as the bidding went over $4,000, then $5,000, then $6,000. Then, when this piece of two-wheeled art appeared on the verge of selling for $6,500, Markley upped the ante to $7,000. . .and succeeded in buying the bike.
