Well, I have to admit I wouldn’t be in the market for one of these, but they are interesting. With gas prices on their way up, these might be the ticket for students who live on campus or people who live in a dense urban area. From the press release, it appears they have been out for a number of years with total sales of over 800,000 units. As far as I can tell, they are only available in Japan. The whole story is here.
