Buchanan, Mich. (July 2, 2006) – Team Monster/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider, Ryan Villopoto, thrilled all in attendance with an outstanding ride on his Kawasaki KX250F as the 2006 AMA/Motocross Series came to Red Bud Track and Trail, near Buchanan Mich., this weekend. The 17-year-old rookie sensation from Poulsbo, Wash., went unchallenged for all 13 laps in the first moto to win by nearly a 13 second margin. In the second moto, Villopoto overcame a frustrating start and carefully picked off competitors as he moved from seventh into second place before the checkered flag dropped. His 1-2 finish for the day was enough to award him with his second consecutive overall victory and third overall for the season.
